THE FUTURE OF TV

What is the future of our beloved TV? ..A year ago when I lived in the country of Australia I used to curse the ads that they showed between shows, not because they were too long but because how bloody old fashioned the advertising was! And how budget! You wouldn't believe it.  Now, today I don't watch telly, not particularly because it is all in Spanish and how terrible the voice overs are but more so because it's not part of my lifestyle anymore. I think that's what is happening to TV, the ever changing world that we live in, people are choosing other types of entertainment rather than telly. The Web for example. Also, I think people today don't like to be told when they are going to watch something that they are interested in. They want to choose what TV shows and movies they are going to see when it suits them. And that is why people go online instead and watch shows for free and download movies. I could imagine that in the close future they will have to make some drastic changes to television to bring back the many viewers it has lost. There is and still will be a large group of people who watch or are even hooked on telly. After all it is a choice of lifestyle. For advertising I reckon we are going to see more promoting in TV shows and movies like they are doing in the music videos (Lady Gaga's Telephone music video for example. Check this out: Is Lady Gaga's Video For "Telephone" one big ad? ) In the end nobody can predict what the future will bring nor what is going to happen to the culture of TV.
